Learn Deep project is a two-year long Erasmus+ project which began in December 2023 and will be completed in December 2025.
Industry 4.0 have transformed all sectors into a competitive and dynamic structure by removing the barriers between sectors. The industry now needs more competent engineers. Especially engineers who have practical, up-to-date, economic, social and legal knowledge besides technical engineering knowledge gain a significant advantage in the sector. Civil Engineering is an engineering field where a high level of technical knowledge is taught. Students of this field have problems in learning the practical / implicit / current technical information required by the sector during their undergraduate education at universities. Therefore, it is extremely important for civil engineers to eliminate their shortcomings in this field in line with the needs of the sector.
Due to their nature, construction projects are unique and temporary. Much knowledge in the construction industry is tacit (know-how) and experience-based. Generally, much knowledge gained is lost and the lessons learned are dispersed at the end of the projects if not recorded or shared properly. Since most know-how, know-what, and experience exist in the minds of people, capturing tacit knowledge of experts and engineers involved in projects and reusing in future projects are critical for the construction industry.
Learn Deep project aims to transfer the know-how of construction professionals to civil engineering students and inexperienced new graduates. Within this context, experienced professionals from the industry will transfer their knowledge to students using the online learning platform. Civil engineering students and new graduates will develop their vocational competencies according to the needs of the construction industry.
